Archive for 'Senior'
This is Kelsey.
Kelsey is a senior. She’s very cool. Way cooler than I was at her age. [If I’m being honest…..probably way cooler than I am now.]
She’s the valedictorian of her class, got a full ride to her top school choice, is an awesome runner, she traveled to France and brought home the most perfect little black dress, AND she’s already written a book. A whole book. By hand. And I’m dying to read it. When she lets me.
See? I told you. Very cool.
She’s also a blast in front of the camera. And not afraid to hike through weeds in a pretty dress and heels.
Kelsey, I hope when I grow up I’m as cool as you. :) Congrats, girl.
I don’t do a lot of senior portraits, but this was definitely one of my favorites. Melinda is sweet, smart, athletic, artsy, and so much fun to be around. She also happens to be little sister to Meredith, whose portraits we had a blast doing last year.
I just love this family. If my kiddos grow up to be like these girls, I will be one happy mama.
A few weeks ago, I met up with Sarah to shoot some senior photos for her. We had planned to go outside for a few shots, but since it was 17 degrees outside that day, I figured we’d have to cancel that plan. But….I was wrong! Sarah was all for heading outside, and we had a great time running around the block by her studio. She even had her sweet little pup Snoopy along for a few shots.
You know it’s going to be a good day when the first shot you fire looks like this:
Sarah has this great studio where she keeps all of her guitars and band equipment so we decided to start out there. And I even got to hear her play a few songs. No singing though…. I was told she only sings when she absolutely HAS to. :)
Thanks Sarah — hope you love ’em!
