I think one of the biggest honors you can reach as a photographer is when your old high school pals hire you to photograph their weddings. Seriously. Because….to be honest, they’ve seen you at your worst (I mean….high school. It’s bad.) and here they are, years and years later, trusting you with the precious details of one of the most important days they will ever have in their lives. It’s kind of amazing.

Lauren is one of those people. We’ve known each other since 3rd grade. When my family moved to Massachusetts, she was one of the first people I met on the school bus, and for 20 years, our families lived within walking distance of each other. She is sweet and kind and hilarious and even though I don’t know him as well, Rob is pretty great, too. I knew this immediately because he was willing to be up and ready at 5 AM on a weekend morning in the middle of summer to do this photo shoot. Smiling and strolling down a beach at 5 AM. People, this is love.

Lauren + Rob — you guys are adorable. Can’t wait for the big day in September! Let’s find another reason to do a post-shoot beach breakfast. :)

  • Beautiful in its simplicity. I can clearly see intimacy between them. I love ring pic. I’m inspired after that. Well done :)

  • Tania, the photos look amazing!! You can’t even tell that Robert would rather have been at the dentist! Looking forward to the big day and the yearly anniversary shoots!
